Old Earth House - B&B
We welcome you to stay in our 18th century country house, once an Inn / Farmhouse with extensive views over the hills and valleys of the superb Pendle countryside, set in one of the last remaining hillside villages, in the heart of Lancashire Witch Country, and the Forest of Bowland, an area of outstanding natural beauty.
Step back in time with our antique furnishings, enjoy our modern conveniences, whilst relaxing in a tranquil environment. Newchurch village is the centre for the Lancashire Witch Trail, and the local church of St. Mary has the eye of God dated 1544, on the church wall and also reputed to have the grave of one of the Witches in the Churchyard. It is a unique hillside village, nestling before Pendle Hill, with woodlands and extensive views over the hills. Spirits abound and we are situated opposite the famous Witches Galore shop. Pendle Hill is a short walk away and we are ideally situated for walking the Pendle Way, and exploring the many paths to woods and reservoirs, taking in the dramatic beautiful scenery.
We are a non smoking establishment, but if our English weather was to turn a little on the wet side, guests can use the Garden Room to sit and smoke.
